The Character
Character Picture
Name: Katsu Matashi
Age: 18
Hight: 5'4"
Weight: 122 lbs
Blood Type: B
Apartment or House: She lives in a little two story house.
Personality:
Katsu is a very kind hearted person, with the best of intentions intended at most times. She has good morals for the most part, and helps people out all she can. She is highly Christian and trying her best has never done drugs or alcohol. She is very against alcohol and can't even stand being around those who drink even a little.
Though kind a person as she is, she has a very sick since of humor. She laughs at most things she probably should not, but try as she may, she can't help it. She also has a very odd way of joking, though she won't mean to hurt your feelings, the usual way of her upsetting someone if by her joking in the wrong way.
She is very stuborn. She likes things going her way and her way only. She comes up with very good arguments, which help her get her way often. Though she doesn't take advantage of this in ways like stealing or anything like that, her way is usually best. She is very set in her mind, and it takes a lot to change that about her.
She loves music, and is actually in a little band, they have proformed here and there, in little places. She can sing, though she is horrible at any instrument she picks up. You can always find her with her MP3 player or some type of audio player with her. She also has a love for dancing, finding any type of dancing nice and fun.
She has a deep love fore animals, though she is deathly alergic to cats. She can't be around them without coughing and hacking and sneezing. She will also break out in a rash most of the time. However, her love for dogs is strong enough to make up for her not being able to have a cat. She has three dogs, all of whom she loves and plays with none stop.
Katsu has a very magnetic personality. She always has tons of people around her. It seems like she has her own little pack of people willing to do whatever she says. And as nice as this may sound, it bothers her completely. She doesn't like having people follow her and talk to her none stop. She would rather have one or two people to hang out with.
She is a bit of a know it all. This going hand in hand with her being stuborn. She thinks she knows a lot more than everyone else, and is usually right. She is highly intellegent and reads all the time, she also has a deep love of anime.
History:
Katsu was born to a well off family. Her father worked as a scientist, and her mother was a stay at home mom who did work over the computer. She was an only child for years, being spoiled by her parents and family. She got whatever she wanted whenever. Despite this she did not become spoiled. She was very careful with her things and learned the value of a dollar well. Her mother was so proud of her. She loved her mother and was glad that she was proud of her, but her father was never at home and Katsu never got to see her. This made Katsu very sad.
By the time she was ready to go to school she already knew everything she was suppose to be learning. She could count to 100 and say her ABCs. She was ahead of her grade. When she got to 3rd grade she was so far ahead they bumped her up 2 grades. Her mother was exstatic. Katsu thought that this would bring her father some happiness and he would spend some time on her. But...this didn't happen. Katsu was depressed due to the fact that she could never be good enough for her father. In 9th grade she dropped out of school and left home.
Leaving home was hard for Katsu, she didn't even tell her mother she was going. She just didn't come home from school one day. She lived on ramen and water for a long while, making money by little baby sitting and lawn mowing jobs for that whole time. She lived in an apartment she couldn't pay for, and fed one little puppy she could not afford to feed, plus herself.
Katsu was 17 when she met a guitarist who was looking for a singer in his band. Katsu may have been a drop out, but singing was something she could do. He hired her and thats when her band began. They made lots of money just by playing out in the street and at little things here and there. She was able to get herself a house. She eventually saved up enough and got a couple dogs, she kept the puppy she had, and a nicer house.
She now works part time as a singer in the band and part time as a waitress at a hibotchi grill. She may not have been able to make her father proud but she is happy with the way she lives.
RP Sample:
Katsu breathed in hard, the air she took in filling her lungs, and just as soon as it was in it came out again. Her hand tightly clenched onto the microphone in front of her. Her hair sticking to her face, wet with sweat. She had been singing all day, but she needed more practice. The last of the words left her mouth and she turned to the band behind her. "We need to do it again...We have to practice as much as possible." She said. She held up her thumb to give the signal for them to start the music again, then turned around to face the little croud that had gathered. The thumbs up meant she wanted the music from an anime she watched. She wanted God Know, by Wendee Lee. She had it all planned out, certainly signals for certain songs.
As the music fill her ears she listened, waiting for the right time for her to start singing. She counted the beats in her head, her eyes closed tight. Then, it was time for her to sing. She opened her eyes and her her mouth, letting out the words, which came out sonft and sten at the same time, filling the air.
"Blazing on by
There's nothing more than I can do
I'm sorry that
I'll never be with you again
Even though
My heavy heart it parched with pain
I know somehow
Your sorrow's something I won't see
It's my life
I'm moving on and never going back there
the future's still away
and leave me on the lonely rail
God knows that
I would follow you if that is what you wanted
take me into all your darkest shadows
and you'll see that
I'm even stronger than you could know
God knows that I am standing here
and you could disappear
Slipping right over the edge of the future
if I had my way
we'd be together forever
Eternally God Bless
I see you standing there
it seems as though we're almost one again
and yet
we're miles apart in time
beneath the pale blue moon
I see your eyes are glitening with so much love
it's tearing you apart to be here
You know it
God knows that
I would follow you if that is what you wanted
take me into all your darkest shadows
and you'll see that
I'm even stonger than you could know
God knows that I am standing here and you could disapear
Slipping right over the edge of the future
If I had my way
we'd be together forever
Eternally God bless..."
Her words trailed off as they came to an end. The music continued on for a second after she finished singing. She loved that song. She couldn't help it, it was her favorite to sing. She took several deep breaths, trying to slow her breathing. She had sang too much too hard at one time. She needed a break.
A wide smile came to her face as she realzed that the small croud had gotten bigger and the people were chearing and clapping for them. Being in this band may have been the best thing to have ever happened to her. "Thank you." She said giving them all a deep bow.
